Well, here at the Wild North, we obviously love all things out doors. I’ve made it pretty clear that self sufficiency is a priority and where my political views lie. Luckily, there are bastions of knowledge out there besides The Wild North that also have those same priorities. And as far as knowledge depots go, there is none better than SurvivalBlog.com.

With a heavy emphasis on the survivalist mindset, Survivalblog.com informs its readers of such a broad range of topics, it’s a bit tough to get started. Whether you want to dig your own well, chose a new firearm, invest in precious metals, or raise Nigerian Pigmy goats, this website is one of, if not the, most reputable on all of those subjects. Started in 2005, each month since than has had more than 100 posts, simply making the site absolutely huge.  Conveniently, all of those archives are on cd up through 2010, so all of that information is available, regardless of whether or not you have an internet connection.

The site is maintained by John Wesley Rawles, a New York Times bestselling author. He is widely regarded as an expert on self sufficiency, and his name alone attracts industry experts and allows the site to be the go to source on a wide variety of topics. If your not checking this site on a daily basis, you are missing out, on every single level.
